Ya, im right there with you, douche. Im a little confused as well. I know that we are drafting 6 this year...and 6 next year. However, we are allowed 12 on our MiLB squad. Does this just mean that we can pick up 6 random minor leaguers throughout the year?? I also read that we can interchange rosters before Spring Training (i think i saw a March 18 deadline)....this is fine and dandy in all future seasons, but i dont think it should be allowed for this season cuz of the draft. It doesnt seem fair. If you want to take a chance and pick up a minor leaguer with MLB experience during the MLB Draft, you shouldnt be able to just automatically toss them on your MiLB Roster and pick someone else off the wire/FA list. Guys like Brandon Wood, Homer, Headley, Hochevar, Liz, Clement, and Iannnetta come to mind. Not that theyre not great picks, but if you took a chance on them in our MLB Draft you should have to waste a roster spot on them. I know that theres a few guys that i was looking at during the draft that decided to pass on because they were blocked on the big league level and i didnt want to burn a roster spot on them....i would have drafted them had i been able to draft them, and then toss them on my MiLB Roster right after the draft. (A couple of them are still available)
Not trying to rock the boat at all.....but this is something i meant to bring up. I just let The Douche do it for me! Id like to hear the Commishes' stance on it...as well as everyone else.
